"In Jerusalem, you can get a DELICIOUS falafel sandwich (http://mideastfood.about.com/b/a/falafel.jpg) for 5 shekels," said an Israeli friend the other day. Having never heard of it, I wanted to know what a falafel was. He was simply flabbergasted and truly shocked that I didn't know what it was, saying "It's like THE signature Middle Eastern food!"
Do they even make falafel in Turkey?
