For a cast photo, seven actors from All My Children: Fawn, Greta, Hank, Ione, Jennifer, Kyle and Lois - stand in positions numbered one through seven from left to right, according to the following conditions:

Fawn and Greta do not stand next to each other.
Exactly two people stand between Hank and Fawn.
Ione and Fawn stand next to each other.
Kyle and Greta do not stand next to each other.
Hank's position is exactly two places to the left of Greta's position.

1. Which of the following is an acceptable arrangement of cast members, from left to right?

This is a standard sequencing game involing seven entities, which we'll label as F, G, H, I, J, K, L.
For a diagram, just draw seven slots in a row and and number them. The rules are fairly straightforward:

Rule 1 can be written "No FG or GE"
Rule 2 can be written "H_ _F or F_ _H."
Rule 3 can be written "IF or Fl."
Rule 4 can be written "No KG or GK."
Rule 5 can be written "H -G."

Be careful not to write "H_ _G" for rule 5, since the rule doesn't say there are two places between them, but one person is two places behind the other.

The rules about G greatly simplify this game. We also know that there must be exactly two
people between H and F which means either: H _ _F or F_ _H. And H is two places to the left of G, or H _G. When you combine these two, the first combination proves impossible (H_G F) since we're told that F cannot stand next to G (rule 1). The only combination that will work is: F_ _H _G. This rule combining rules 1, 2, and 5 is a constant for every question! There is one remaining space which must go before or after this group of six.

1) We can solve this using the process of elimination. Take each rule and test it against each choice. In this case, the requirement that F and G do not stand next to each other (Rule 1) E. Exactly two people must stand between H and F (Rule 2), eliminating A and C. K and G do not stand next to each other (Rule 4), which eliminates D, leaving B as the correct answer.

2) Being told that L is in position one solves the problem of the remaining space. The arrangement must be: L F_ _ H _ G. Since I stands next to F (Rule 3), we can fill in: L F I_ H _ G. And since G and K do not stand next to each other, the only space for K is between I and H, leaving only one spot remaining for J between G and H. The answer is A.

3-4-5-6) rethink about them..
re-examine the question carefully..
